New Year's Layout
I made this layout using some pictures taken on New Year's Eve. Jim had been working an overnight client & Scotia just started sleeping through the night. So Seth was my date for the night & was such a trooper to stay up with me till midnight.
We had fun playing video games & watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV. I also got a DSLR camera for Christmas & just figured out how to use the timer on it that evening. I used papers from DCWV Snapshot stack along with a few SMASH* items (clock tape & journal spot)

Moon Sand
On a rainy day awhile back, I knew I had to do something with the kids to keep them occupied. I found a recipe on Pinterest for Moon Sand, and with the kids help we made a batch. Just 8 cups flour mixed with 1 cup baby oil in a large bowl until the dough holds together. My kids played with this for at least an hour

Scrap Your Stash Challenge - Masculine theme
With the kit I made in my last post I made a single page layout following a sketch that was posted in the Canadian Scrap N Chat board. I found a meaning of BOY online and ran with the idea for my journalling. The last two definitions in my journalling are nicknames for my son. I do need to add pictures in my layout but that will come later.

Shop your Stash Challenge
Here's my homemade scrapbook kit for this month. It's masculine themed so I have papers that have red, black & tan with stars, stripes & distressed looking. Metal brads & other embellishments along with chipboard arrows and metal rimmed tags.
Family Day Craft
For this year's Family Day we traced our hands on different colored papers and cut our prints. Then layered each one on top of the other & put it in a frame to hang on the wall.

Birthday card & Toilet Paper Cake
I made this card for my SIL for her birthday using my Scrap Stash Challenge pack I made & think it turned out really well. The inside quote reads 'You turning 40 reminds us of the old Chinese King -- Yung No Mo. I used the Paisley Cricut cartridge for the doll image
I made my SIL a toilet paper cake for her gift this year because she is always asking us for an extra roll once in awhile & since we live next to each other we help out when we can. We told we got her a cake & she was surprised to find out it was this type of cake. It was fun make as it was to watch her receive it.

Using your Stash Challenge
Made this layout using a kit I created from stuff in my scrapbook stack. I think this is a great idea (Thanks Rachael!!!). The challenge is to use what you already have in your own stock pile of stuff to shop for your own scrapbooking kit & use it to create layouts, cards, or whatever without buying new stuff & too NOT hoard your supplies for that 'Special' project later. Here's a layout I made for the challenge.
